Welcome again to this week's blog. Tonight, I wanted to write about this new baby. It is part two that I have been writing about all last year. This is a part of my Fostered and the Damned Series and it will have the foster children each have their own story. If you have not read this urban horror, I urge you to try it for free on the kindle unlimited if you have it. This horror is about two siblings who went to live with their great-aunt. Grayson and Mia are Charlotte Roberts's nephew and niece. Charlotte is the woman from the first book who was a trifling no good foster woman who had a group home for over seven children. They learn about a specific group of children at a child care center called ''Little Angels." I have a kindle, a library version, and a paperback only. I also read other indie authors and their fiction work as well on kindle unlimited.
The Fosterered and The Damned: "Evenings and Night Openings Available"
The foster children that were in the first novel, "Them Against Us"- each have their own individual story. Each story involves one of the foster children dealing with a character an antagonist or antagonists who are damned. This second series has two siblings and the third series will be about Rodger who was eleven years old in the first book. The next series after that one is about another foster child. This is my first horror series ever and I enjoy it a lot and I like it a great deal. My first horror novel was going to be a stand-alone novel at first, but then it became a series.
New Writing Goals for 2023
This year, I will mainly focus on writing more novels. I have many ideas that I am creating and hopefully, I can publish a few more books. Realistically, I do not know how many books I will be publishing. Last year, my goal was two books and I kind of failed but at the beginning of the new year, I did publish my second series. So, I did technically publish two more books. Many authors have over ten books published and I am not there yet. I try to take my time and make sure the book is ready even if it takes months. I am multi-genre so I will be coming out with other books that are different. I also have personal goals that I would like to achieve. But my writing goals are these:
Focus on better character development
Focus on not procrastinating and marketing
Don't be in a rush to publish make sure the book is ready
keep writing and learn new writing skills
Publish at least two more books this year
Do what I love and not be negative
Lose some weight.....at least try, lol.
That's it and nothing else fancy. I have some new WIPs up my sleeve and I have been reading lots of books. I swear I think I am a bookaholic and I still read some books. I will do more book reviews soon on indie authors and more. I will post some books on black women who write horror because I write horror and I want to share it as well.
What I am Working On My WIP
One of my WIP is another horror but, it is a stand-alone about three women who are accountants and they are in debt. Their boss is super rich and owns a financial company. He is a loan shark who gives out money and many people in the city owe this man money. This book I hope to release it before the end of the year. My other WIP is a drama mystery story and it is early in its development. This novel is not horror at all and it is about an ex-married couple fighting.
I have other novels in the works yet they will not be ready until later on down the line. I have a couple of black urban dramas in the works and I am doing another Hebrew Gospel Fables book. Since I am no longer religious, I still like studying the bible yet I am looking at the book with new eyes and not from a religious perspective. So if I do religious novels, it will be from a fiction standpoint. I will not write another non-fiction book anymore about religious doctrines because I have come away from it all. Hebrew Gospel Fables is all of my short stories in my life from what I have experienced and written back when I was a seventh-day adventist to learning about Israelite culture to now. I am no longer a part of any form of religion. I just share my own biblical knowledge through my creative writing. That is a gift that I believe the creator gave me.
My last WIP is again another thriller and horror book. I have a total of at least three horror novels, three dramas, and a thriller. These works are super early and will definitely not be out this year. I usually have at least five books and have a MAIN novel that I am working on. The horror novel with the three women is my MAIN WIP this novel will be out this year. The rest, we will see. In the meantime, stay tuned for my next blog, and peace out everyone.
